How can a cosmetic tattoo enhance my appearance?

Cosmetic Tattoo will save you time and frustration. Your tattoo enhancement looks great twenty-four hours a day and there will be no need to apply make-up any more. You can swim, sleep, perspire, have a sauna, play sport, wash your hair, eat and still look GREAT! It won’t wash off and lasts for years. All the treatments are performed in CLEAN conditions.
The finest quality equipment is used, and blades or needles are individually packed in sterile ‘blister’ packs. The needles are disposed of in a ‘sharps’ container – EACH CLIENT HAS A NEW STERILE BLADE.

How long will it last?

For natural looking hair strokes 12-18 months (after your 2nd treatment). You may require another treatment in a year to keep your new brows looking perfect. Everyone holds pigment differently, oily skins the hairs can look thicker. If you use certain skin care or have laser, you can lose more colour. Some medications affect colour and how long it can last.

What are the pigment lotions?

The pigment used is an Iron Oxide base, a safe non-reactive substance. The Pigment Lotions are specifically manufactured for implantation into human skin. A powder is suspended in a solution of distilled water, alcohol and glycerine which results in a smooth, fine creamy liquid.

What does It look like on the skin?

Hair strokes will look like hairs and shadow looks as if you applied a pencil a little softer and more muted. Hair strokes like all tattoo on the face, will require 2 procedures a minimum 4 weeks apart. The colour immediately after the treatment will be stronger and darker than your desired colour. You do lose approximately 40% of intense colour but it depends on the colour used, type of skin and whether you have followed the home care instructions which must be given to them at end of the procedure.

Who needs cosmetic tattoo treatments?

People who have over-plucked the hairs from their eyebrows, have gaps or scars where the hair has not grown back, people suffering with Alopecia, people who have visual problems or people just wanting a definite shape to their eyebrows. Colour is implanted to your desired shape, framing the eyes with a beautiful defined brow. Everybody is meant to have eyebrows. Eyebrows frame the eyes. Colour can be implanted as in a solid look or hair like strokes for a softer result.

Adjustments

Treatments are completed with one visit, but we do like you to return in four to six weeks for a final check-up and any adjustments can be made free of charge providing you return within two months. We call this a Perfection Visit.

 Does It Hurt?

We do use topical anaesthetics and YES it can be a little uncomfortable, but the result far outweighs the pain. Everyone has a different tolerance to pain with some feeling it more than others.

Important things you should know.

YES, colour matching can be difficult at times, but we endeavour to match the colour as close as possible. Many things can alter the end result of the pigment colour in the skin; pigment, acid, oils in your own skin, and neglecting to follow the Home Care Instructions.

It is important that the tattooist is informed if any medication is being taken or if you suffer with keloid scarring or have any medical problems. Extended sun exposure, using Retin-A and Glycolic Acid will fade out colour from all treatments. Sun block is necessary at all times.

The healing time is minimal for all treatments, hardly noticeable but a small percentage of people do have some swelling. Work and all other activities can continue immediately.

Capsules taken which have oil content (e.g. fish oil) should be ceased 7 days before the procedure as with any blood thinners (check with Dr). These types of capsules thin the blood and may lead to unnecessary bleeding.
